Celebrating One Month

So, this past Friday was our one month ,or whatever you want to call it, and it honestly rocked. Everything about it was amazing. David Murray from Oneonta came and led worship which we greatly appreciate him for. He will also be coming this Friday night and hopefully more to come. We also saw a short video called Indescribable, which the things God spoke through Louie Giglio will abosolutely blow you away. Also, Shane Alexander did an awesome job of tying it all together before we went into singing and jamming out for God. We had 44 people (and 1 dog) and we definitely give thanks to God for that. This last Friday was a great marker as we head into our second month. Everyone don't forget about this coming Friday (6th), it's at New Cannan in their gym.
Things that we need and need prayer for:
A permanent band, a place to eventually move to (outside of a church, which that may have just been answered yesterday), a sound system, and of course more people to get involved so we can do some bigger things. And the biggest and most important is the guidance and direction of this ministry.

High Attendance Friday

Quick update on Cultivate:

First, this past Friday night was another awesome time as we came together to worship Jesus and hear the message God spoke through Ben Estes. We had 28 people and eight of those were new, so it's great to see that the word is still spreading about Cultivate as more and more people are coming.
Second, God gave us the opportunity to go to the student minister's luncheon for Madison County. It went really well as we made some contacts and shared a little of what Cultivate is about. They all said they would be praying for us which is great!
Third, this coming Friday(27th) will mark the 1 month anniversary for the Cultivate Ministry. We are calling it High Attendance Friday and it'll be a special service, so please invite everyone you know so we can pack the place out!
Remember it's at New Canaan Baptist Church (across from Union Hill School) at 10pm...please come see what this is all about!
Also, continue to be in prayer for Cultivate.

It's Growing

This past Friday (13th) was another great night as we all came together to worship God and hear the message that He gave to Cody and Shane. God brought double the amount of people from the Friday before making it 34 people. Things are really coming together and more and more people are wanting to be a big part of this which is AWESOME! We know that God has a much bigger plan for the Cultivate Ministry than just the Friday night worship and this is one of the main reasons why we need EVERYONE to be a part of this. So, if you are really looking to get involved and seeking a way to serve Him, please be a part of this with us. To really see what God is doing come join us this Friday (20th) for another night of worship, Ben Estes will be the speaker. Also, something huge that God has allowed through Cody is the Director of Missions for Madison County has asked him to come to the student minister's luncheon this Thursday to share about Cultivate. This is an amazing opportunity and we praise God for it, please keep this in your prayers.

Opening Night

Last night was WOW! It was amazing and God was definitely there. We had 17 people show up and it was awesome. God spoke through both David and Shane to give two chalenging and encouraging messages. Everyone is really pumped about how He is going to use the Cultivate ministry.

It's Time

Finally, It's here! We're kicking it off this Friday (the 6th) at New Canaan Baptist Church (across from Union Hill School). It'll be in their gym and starts at 10:00pm. Everyone please come out and join us.
Also, some of us are getting together there at 9 to pray for it if anyone would like to come.

The Picture Frame

A couple of us sat down tonight to reevaluate the vision and plans for Cultivate. These are a few questions "somewhat" answered: Who? We're targeting high school seniors thru college/young adult, which doesn't mean juniors and sophs can't come,it's just who this is focused on..... Why? What? and How? Since they are all kinda along the same lines. Basing it off of Psalm 37:3, we believe this is to be a community of building each other's faith, through worship, teaching, and fellowship........ Why do this on a Friday night and so late? It may be a cheesy answer, but why not? We want to do something fun on a Friday night that also is focused on simply loving and celebrating God. And at the same time we will all be growing a step further with Him together. Doing it so late will be pretty cool because it'll be a very informal, relaxed, upbeat atmosphere......Where? This is still in the works. We have a couple ideas but our main goal is to be somewhere on south parkway. There might be a possibility of it even being in Somerville for a month or two so we can reach Decatur and Huntsville. If you have any ideas though please let us know, and also pray that we find a place too.....When? Although rescheduled a couple times, this too is uncertain. We would of course like it to be as soon as possible, but we have to also make sure we dont get in a rush and that it is ready according to His plan.
Think that sums up the update for now. Please everyone continue to pray for Cultivate.

Get Involved

Ok, so we're still uncertain of if it'll be this friday, the next, or maybe even after that. We do know that putting it off a little longer will be for the best since it'll give more time to prepare things and let us look closer to see what GOD wants to do with this. However, there is something that we do need, and that is MORE HELP! Not only is this going to be too big for a few people to run, but it would be awesome to get a ton of people really involved. If you are interested at all in this, whether worship, speaking, ANYTHING AT ALL!!!, even if you dont know what to do but just want to be involved let us know, we will find something trust me. So, if you really want to be a major part in this please, First Pray about it, then.... either call us, or e-mail us cultivatehsv@gmail.com, and let us know.
